* Accepts (5-9) points for any science, paramedical, administrative course
*Requires minimum of 13pts in IJMB for Medicine
* 8 points and above for Engineering courses, A/level Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry for Industrial Chemistry
* 7 points and above for Social Sciences/Administrative Courses
* 5 points and above for Religious Studies, Languages, and most of the Courses in Arts Faculty and Agriculture

Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria
* Under special considerations

Kano, Kano State, Nigeria
* Requires a minimum of 4pts into Faculties of Education, Agriculture, Arts (Languages)
* 6pts into Faculties of Accounting, Engineering, and Medicine
* 6pts minimum for Physiotherapy

Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria
* Accepts 10pts and above for Medicine/Law Engineering/Economics
* Accepts 5pts for all other courses
* Requires 8pts with A’Level Government, Economics and B/Management

Gwagwalada, FCT, Nigeria
* Rrequires 10pts or above for direct entry into 200 level only, any point below this is 100 level to any wishful course.
* Accepts 10pts for 200L Accounting

How to collect your IJMB result

Now that your result is out and you have made the required points, it's time to collect your IJMB result because you will need it to complete your direct entry registration.

• note that you can not get your ijmb result online as the ijmb board has not put any online medium in place for you to check or collect your result.
• the only time you can get your result online is if your centre has a website where they upload the result for their students to download.
• you will only be able to collect your result at the centre where you received lectures and sat for the exam.
• after collecting your IJMB result, you are expected to head on straight to any JAMB CBT centre or cyber cafe close to you to upload it to your DE profile as this is compulsory for you to gain admission with your result.

THIS IS TO INFORM ALL THOSE WHO SAT FOR THE 2017/2018 IJMB EXAM THAT THE RESULT HAS BEEN RELEASED.

•  The 2018 IJMB result is out
• candidates who sat for the exam can now go and check their results.
• note that candidates can not check their IJMB results online as the board has not made any online platform for you to do so.
• the only way to check your your result is to go to the centre  where you did your IJMB program and check your result
• most centres will place the result on their notice board, so the first place to check your result is your centre's notice board.

Brief history of ijmb

The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) was established in 1976 by the Interim Common Services Agency (ICSA). ICSA itself was established by the government of the old Northern Region of Nigeria to provide educational and social services to the people of the region. The first Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) was held in 1977 for all students who had undergone the IJMBE post secondary education program in the existing schools of Basic/ Preliminary studies which had replaced the HSCE.

Presently IJMB now serve as an Advanced Level Examination which guarantee candidate admission into 200level. The Board is administered by the Institute of Education of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Other members of the board include representatives of various education insitutions such as Joint Admission Matriculation Board; Federal University of Technology, Minna.
